ACTIVITIES

Details for all activities are included in the monthly Member Newsletter, and members suggestions are always welcome.

A draft activities plan for 2025 includes:

  • Cirque du Soleil on January 12

  • Ferry trip from Ettalong to Palm Beach and lunch in February

  • Changeover lunch at a new venue in March

  • NSW Parliament House tour in March

  • Autumn garden tour in April

  • A 3-4 days trip to Mudgee in May

  • Christmas in July

  • Morpeth Cruise from Newcastle in August

  • Canberra Floriade 3-4 day trip from September 11

  • Golf trip to Hunter Valley in October

  • Sculptures by the Sea in Sydney in October

A range of activities to suit all interests and abilities

  • Walks

    Our club has an active walking group with walks monthly from Mar to Oct. These coastal and bushwalks are of varying degrees of difficulty, 5-7kms long. They meet on Tuesdays at 10am, (details in monthly newsletter) and usually end with a coffee around 2pm. New walkers are always welcome to enjoy the exercise and social interaction.

  • Cycling

    Started early in 2018, the Probus Pedallers is the latest great activity presented by Probus Terrigal. The convenor welcomes new riders of any standard to come and join the fun on a variety of rides on hard surfaces and where possible on designated bike tracks. Cycling occurs every Monday except Probus meeting days, weather permitting.

  • Golf

    The Terrigal Probus Club has an active golf group who meet for formal tournaments every three months.

    In addition several members meet every week for an informal game.

    Each year a trip is organised to a resort/ Golf Club where players vie for the coveted Blue Jacket .

  • Photography

    A keen group of photographers meet on the last Thursday each month for photography outings. 

    Occasionally the group ventures further afield to view photographic exhibitions.

  • Holidays

    Generally the club enjoys trips away each year, either within Australia, overseas or sometimes both. 

    Previous trips have included cruises around the South Pacific, trips to Bali, Norfolk Island and other international destinations.

  • Day trips and outings

    Members enjoy ad hoc day trips and outings throughout the year. These have included cruises on Lake Macquarie, car rallies, attending exhibitions in Sydney and Newcastle to name just a few.

  • Picnics

    When the weather is fine, picnics are arranged for the first Friday of each month.

    In autumn and winter, members meet for an informal lunch at different locations around the Central Coast.

  • Trivia

    The club has an enthusiastic Trivia group which meets on the 4th Monday of each month to test their knowledge.

    Trivia is held at Breakers Country Club.


  • Theatre Outings

    Members enjoy live plays and shows at Laycock Theatre on a regular basis, often with dinner afterwards at a local pub or restaurant.

  • Pickleball

    Pickleball is a very new addition to our activities. More information to come as logistics are worked out.
