Events are held mostly every month for members. There is a wide range of events, designed to suit the interests of members and guests. Whilst it’s not essential to book for some events, it is helpful for the organisers to know who is attending, so they can plan accordingly.

Palm Beach Ferry Trip & Lunch
Enjoy a leisurely ferry ride to Palm Beach from Ettalong, then an easy stroll for lunch at Palm Beach RSL Club. Return on the ferry at your leisure.
Probus Club Changeover Lunch
Join your Probus friends at the annual Changeover Lunch of the Committee. The venue is very attractive and has been trialled by the Committee.
Celebrate the the formal changeover to the new Committee and other activity organisers and helpers who keep our club running effectively. Bookings essential.
Cost $65 per person includes a delicious 2 course meal. RSVP to Peter Brady by February 12, including any dietary requirements. Please make payment directly to the Probus bank account by February 12 at the latest.

Autumn Garden Tour
Take in the autumn colour delights of the Mt. Wilson area by taking a stroll through gardens open to the public, such as Wildwood Garden at Bilpin, Mt Tomah Gardens and several private gardens open during Autumn and Spring.
Members may choose to stay overnight nearby at Lithgow. More details to come.
Mudgee in May
Famed for its gourmet experiences and picturesque countryside, Mudgee is one of Australia’s great food and wine destinations. Nestled by the beautiful Cudgegong River, the town still possesses the character and charm of its 19th-century past, with something for every kind of traveller. A proposed itinerary will be shared closer to the time.

Cirque du Soleil - LUZIA
Join us as we take you on a journey into the colorful and fantastical world of LUZIA, set in a make-believe Mexico, where you will be treated to stunning visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances. LUZIA deftly guides you through the locations, people, and sounds of both classical and contemporary Mexico, taking you from urban locations like an old movie set and a smoke-filled dance hall to the beach and barren desert.

Probus Christmas Picnic
The final get together for the year, and always an enjoyable occasion. This event is fully catered by the Picnic Co-ordinators and helpers. Cost $20pp includes ticket in the Christmas raffle. Prizes for best dressed Christmas table and couple. Santa will also make an appearance.

General Meeting
November meeting, the last official meeting of the year. We will be entertained by Coastal a Capella choir.
Visitors to meetings must book with the Membership Secretary prior to the day.
Groove Cruise, Hawkesbury River
An entertaining afternoon of Blues/Swing music on the Riverboat Postman around the shores of the Hawkesbury River.
Travelling from train to Hawkesbury River is a pleasant trip, and recommended rather than driving as parking is in short supply at Gosford. Members may bring their own food. No BYO alcohol as the boat is fully licensed.

Nelson Bay Golf Trip
The annual Golf trip is always a popular event, with golfers and those who simply like to get away and enjoy the friendship of Probus Terrigal members. Accommodation at Landmark Resort in Nelson Bay and for those who prefer the camping lifestyle, cabins or campsites at Halifax Holiday Park. Lunches, dinners and excursions await. Bookings are essential.
